well if you believe that building seven fell by fire at near freefall speed then it was the muslims fault, otherwise it wasn't. go to infowars.com for more info on 9/11.

otherwise you seem to be making the seperation of church and state argument. This protects religion from the state and vice versa. but i'm libertarian too and there's no harm in people giving money to church or fortune tellers or whatever, people must be allowed to believe whatever they want without government intervention.

i didn't read the whole article but i think probably what you're saying is that "skeptics" have to be there to make sure we don't get all religious. But skeptics go too far in the other direction of not accepting any evidence of anything and so they end up where they started and interpreted everything to align with their original bias, which is what they accuse others of, all the while wrapping themselves in the flag of "reason". I see a lot of this on this website. But actually "skeptics" don't have to worry because this is in human nature to question and eventually see more and more truth and them being there stating that ufo's and ghosts don't exist isn't needed.
the fact is we know nothing. we have no inkling of where we are from, what or who we are, where we are going, our position in space, is there a purpose, is there a god or ghosts or esp or is there a meaning to anything, is there a multiverse or something above universes and can it be discovered. it's wide open and most skeptics think they have a clue but they haven't thought the thought out.

This idea of "without religion there would be no war" is false, people will fight in wars because humans are by and large sick an depraved and looking for an excuse to fight. It's much more accurate to say that without gov't propaganda about "the bad guys over there" we wouldn't have wars.
