@ Rob Steenwyk

Hmmmmm, water, you say...sounds exactly like the cheap cure I'm looking for. Could you perhaps elaborate on the dosage recommendations for chronic back and knee pain. I'm tired of paying for these freakin' pills! I'm 5'7" and 175lbs in case there's some special special formula that will determine just the right amount of water for me. And if it works I'll pay you ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! Thanks in advance Rob...I'm sure you're the greatest!!

P.S. Uncylopedia IS awesome..I've learned so much..WOW!!!

Thank you Andy, I am working on an e-book tentatively titled, "The Foolishness Of The Medical Establishment - How Water Can Heal Mind, Body & Soul"

I will be selling it for 10 dollars, but for you loyal DBSkeptic readers I will tell you what it consists of right now for free.

Drink water and all your health issues will go away.

I have a lot of citations in the back of the book, so you know it is true. Most of the citations point to http://uncyclopedia.org/

It is a great site, A+++ recommended.

I was just reading up on homeopathy on Wikipedia and came across this:

"Since even the longest-lived noncovalent structures in liquid water at room temperature are only stable for a few picoseconds,[118] critics have concluded that any effect that might have been present from the original substance can no longer exist.[119] Furthermore, since water will have been in contact with millions of different substances throughout its history, critics point out that any glass of water is therefore an extreme dilution of almost any conceivable substance, and so by drinking water one would, according to homeopathic principles, receive treatment for every imaginable condition"

So that is why water works so well to heal the body! All of the substances I need to heal myself have already touched that water.... so I just need to drink water because it has all of those substances in it!

"Until, that is, they realize it really didn’t work but don’t want to openly admit to being duped. "

The one I usually get is, "Yeah, that acupuncture is crap, but homeopathy works great!" It's like they see the crap to crap connection, but still they deny it...very odd.

Until, that is, they realize it really didn’t work but don’t want to openly admit to being duped.

Or they don't realize they've been duped, and their results are due to either the body's natural healing, the placebo effect, or effects like the aforementioned endorphin release, and they have nothing to do with Qi or the mystical aspects of acupuncture.

but the law says I have to tell you that only a very small percentage actually benefitted and for those few it was really ALL IN THEIR HEAD.

That's a very good idea.

"Yeah, but it worked for me..." you hear all too often. Until, that is, they realize it really didn't work but don't want to openly admit to being duped. What gets me is that almost all of these alternative approaches have already been proven to be no more effective than sugar pills, yet most people are unaware of this fact and think that "the jury's still out on that one." It would be nice if laws were enacted that forced practitioners to reveal this one simple fact. Perhaps something like "LOTS and LOTS of folks have CLAIMED they were helped by this treatment but the law says I have to tell you that only a very small percentage actually benefitted and for those few it was really ALL IN THEIR HEAD."
