Rick,

Yes. The cost is slightly less for the subscriber on the annual plan, but for me, I get more money from a yearly commitment than I would if you kept a recurring monthly plan. The credit card processor keeps a certain minimum amount from each transaction.

The monthly plan is there for those who don't want to commit to a year. I figure that way, everyone wins.

Is the yearly plan significantly more efficient that the monthly plan? In other words, are the transaction fees a lot less?

Okay, it's done. You can now find the cool, jazzy "DBSupporter" icon next to all your posts. In order to make this happen, you have to do the following:

1) <a href="http://www.dbskeptic.com/support/ rel="nofollow">Sign up as a DBSkeptic supporter.

2) Whenever you leave a comment, fill in the optional email address field in the comment form. Make sure this address matches the email address of whoever you signed up as in step 1.

3) Enjoy your new status.

Sandy: THANK YOU.

Rob: THANK YOU.

As I say, the contributions should be easily paid, since they're so cheap. But many people acting together can significantly help out.

Is there anyway I can get something kick ass next to my name? Like, “Paying DBSkeptic Member”. Or something like that?

That is an excellent idea. Yes, I'll see if I can make that happen. I'll update this thread when improvements are made.
