For info on how private interests control the left right false paradigm, see THE OBAMA DECEPTION. It's on youtube, a twelve part documentary film by Alex Jones. This would answer a lot of questions for you.

In all honesty, I only voted this election because of the absolute disgust I felt at having a complete and utter bimbo like Palin being a heartbeat from the presidency. What were those jackasses thinking?

I completely agree. Bush did so much to trash the concepts of free-market and liberty that it was no surprise the Republicans lost, not that they actually stand for those things anyway or that John McCain was any different than Obama either. The odds-makers in Vegas supposedly ruled early in the primary season that the only Republican that could have beat a Democrat was Ron Paul; and the powers that be didn't like his message of freedom. You know, the one that's in the U.S. Constitution. I just hope Obama's runaway Fascistic Communism and complete lack of knowledge of economics doesn't destroy the U.S. before his 4-8 years is up.

There is no denial in saying that a dislike of Republicans led to President Obama being elected. In the past 2 years the Republican party has been in shambles, with public opinion of them being very low.

President Obama ran an incredible campaign, one of the most powerful and efficient campaigns that has ever been run, and there is no taking that away from him. But if the Democrats had lost this election, whether it was Barack or Clinton, it would have been a huge surprise.

Olga,

I have to question one of your assumptions: why do you say "Republicans are fading"? Do you think this was due to Obama? Or Bush/Republicans?

The question to pose now is will Obama's message be his undoing. I believe you are right, almost any democrat would have won against McCain, but if Obama doesn't deliver on his hope or change message will the congress go back to the republicans in 2 years? Would Hilary and the established way of doing things faired better in the future and still won the election? All I know is my man Ron Paul never had a shot of being elected against any major party candidate :)

D-E-N-I-A-L.
Obama rocks, even republicans voted FOR him, not against Palin or McCain. Republicans are fading. Party affiliation was secondary in this election. I suggest you take a look at the Gallup or Rasmussen polling. People are quite happy with Obama. We elected him, thank you very much.
