Expenses
Hosting for the website and podcast costs about $40 per month.
Published writers are paid $20 per article. Depending on how many authors are paid per month and how many accept payment, this number can vary, but $60 per month is a good average.
Some articles have pictures associated with them. While many are public domain, some are licensed, and cost $5 to $10 each.
So on average, without subscriber support, DBSkeptic.com costs over $100 per month to keep operating.
This $100 minus subscriber income is paid from Andy Kaiser’s pocket. If you can help with this payment, it will ensure that DBS will stay around longer, future articles will increase in quality, and more authors can be paid to provide quality work.
If you’d like to support Digital Bits Skeptic, your contribution would be extremely appreciated. All money received from these contributions is used solely for DBS operating costs and author payments.
Use one of the links above to subscribe to DBS. You will be billed on a repeating basis (annually or monthly), but you can end the subscription at any time.
